SANTA MAGDALENA, Sorsogon — Classes and work in Sorsogon province will resume on Monday, Nov. 18, after the provincial government lifted the suspension when the weather improved after Super Typhoon “Pepito” (international name: Man–yi) left Bicol on Sunday, Nov. 17.
In an advisory, Governor Edwin Hamor declared the resumption of classes in both public and private schools, citing that “Pepito’s (effects in the province) have weakened.”
Article continues after this advertisement“There is no imperil or threat (anymore) to the community and to the people of Sorsogon,” Hamor stressed in the advisory.

The governor encouraged the public to “remain vigilant and continue following safety guidelines,” as the provincial disaster risk reduction and management office will continue to monitor the weather.
